Dear Parents,
This is an important week for students across Texas
as they take the TAKS test this week.
Tuesday is the TAKS Mathematics test for
students in 3rd, 4th, and 6th
grade. Wednesday
is the TAKS Reading test for 4th and 6th
grades. Thursday
is the 5th grade Science TAKS test.
If your child is in any of these grades please
encourage them to get plenty of rest and do their
best. A
good breakfast is important on test day. Students are
allowed to bring snacks from home on test day and the
cafeteria also provides snacks.
The TAKS tests are not timed and the students
may take their time and check their work.
Thursday the first and second graders will travel to
the Irving
Arts
Center
to see Flat Stanley in person!
If your child is in first or second grade,
please sign the permission slip for him/her to travel
on the bus.
The Kindergarten will take a field trip to the Abilene
Zoo on Friday.
There will be a school holiday on Friday, May 9th.
